FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - ‘Every painting that you do, your whole life is involved in its creation.’ - Jody Hemphill Smith

Fort Wayne artist Jody Hemphill Smith passed away in October of 2023; however, her legacy as a world-renowned artist continues to be recognized by the Fort Wayne community.

In March, Hemphill Smith was posthumously honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Arts United, an award given to someone who “makes significant contributions through art and culture”.
